About Corredor de la 45 (Manrique)
Manrique and its Carrera 45 are the tango heart of the world outside Buenos Aires. The monument to Carlos Gardel was raised on this corridor after his death in 1935, and the Casa Gardeliana stands here. Today the 45 has had an extraordinary revival driven by the Metroplús and viewpoint dining, combining old tango and vinyl salsa cantinas with modern grill restaurants and panoramic views of the eastern hillside.
