Réplica del Viejo Peñol

Built to preserve the memory of the old colonial town of El Peñol, which was deliberately submerged under the waters of the reservoir in 1978. The replica faithfully reproduces the original cobbled square, the parish church with its tower, the town hall and colonial houses with wooden balconies, where photographic museums of the flooding and shops selling typical desserts operate.

Learn the photographic and documentary history of the moving of the old town, stroll through the colonial square, have coffee in front of the lake and board tourist boats from its dock.
